Which data we use to process your order, and how.
What we ask for
For an order we ask for your first name, last name and WhatsApp number.
They are sent to our management system (crm.mendeztec.com), where they are recorded with your order, the products and the payment status. Your number lets us recognize you if you're already a customer.
If you pay by card, Mercado Pago receives your name and the order details; the details you pay with are entered on Mercado Pago, which has its own privacy policy: Méndez Tec never sees or stores them. If you pay with Yape, we receive your Yape payment notice (the name Yape shows, the amount and the security code) and use it only to confirm and record your order.
What we use it for
Only to record, charge and deliver your order, support you with what you bought, and help you if you have questions.
Storage in your browser
Your cart is stored in your browser (localStorage) and only contains products and quantities, no personal data.
The order you're viewing is kept in the tab session (sessionStorage) to show its status, and is deleted when you close it.
Your orders are kept in a history in this browser (localStorage) so you can see your access again in “My order”: the code, products, total, date and the order key, without your name or phone number. Anyone using this browser could see them: on a shared computer, clear it on that page.
We remember your language, currency and theme preferences (light, dark or system).
Exchange rates
If you choose a currency other than the sol, your browser downloads the exchange rate from ExchangeRate-API (open.er-api.com) at most every 12 hours. That request includes no order data; as with any connection, the provider receives your browser's IP address.
Visit and ad measurement
We use Google Analytics to learn how many people visit the website, where they come from (for example, a Google ad), which pages they view and whether they end up buying or messaging us on WhatsApp. Google stores cookies in your browser and receives technical data about the visit, such as device type and approximate location.
When an order's payment is confirmed we send Google the order code, the products and the total, never your name, phone number, email or access details. We use this to measure our Google ads, and Google may use it to show you Méndez Tec ads. Google has its own privacy policy; you can turn measurement off with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or in your Google account's ad settings.
Support and questions happen on WhatsApp, a third-party service with its own privacy policy.
Business enquiries are sent on WhatsApp: the form only prepares the message and the website does not store it.
Your rights
You can ask us on WhatsApp to access, correct or delete the data from your orders.
